Reminder: National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade!

April 8, 2010

Attention: All DC Metro Residents!

Don’t forget to go see the FREE PARADE for the National Cherry Blossom Festival THIS SATURDAY, April 10th, from 10am-noon!  There will be a floats, giant balloons, marching bands, and other performers as the parade runs along Constitution Ave. from 7th to 17th Streets.

This weekend’s weather is supposed to be fabulous! Sunny and 64 degrees. However, since the area tends to be a little unpredictable, you might want to keep checking here to be extra careful.

To learn more about the National Cherry Blossom Festival and the best ways to see the cherry trees, take a look at our previous post, or visit the National Cherry Blossom Festival’s website.  If you aren’t able to make it to the actual event, you can catch a live broadcast on ABC 7/ WJLA-TV and NewsChannel 8.

Getting there:

Take the metro and get off at Navy Memorial or Federal Triangle stops!

Now if only we weren’t stuck at university taking classes….oh well.  We’d love to hear feedback from any readers out there who end up checking it out!
