Shake It Like a Polaroid Picture

May 12, 2010

I love polaroid photos for their quaint old-fashioned quality, and for their beautiful saturated colors.  There are tons of beautiful polaroids and polaroid prints sold online from all over the world, but four of my favorite photographers are these (all sold on the amazing site Etsy!):

Cherie Lester

Her compositions always have THE most beautiful warm colors and are of interesting places around the world.  The ones featured below are of Central Park, New York, and Prague, Czech Republic:

Futurowoman Fotographie

She photographs it all–architecture, city life, the American Southwest, botanicals, and retro icons.  The photos below of bluebonnet wildflowers and an Amsterdam street scene are two of my favorites:

Jacqleen Bleu

Her photos remind me of an era gone by, full of charm and nostalgia.  They have a wonderful homey quality to them and are always artistic and exquisite:

Jessica Rogers

She primarily photographs the outdoors and rustic life, including barns, fences, and other features of the American Southwest.  I especially like these Western-style polaroids of Joshua Tree National Park:

Readers–do you guys ever take polaroids?  I love how they look and have been keeping an eye out for a polaroid camera to buy online, but I have no idea what to look for in a camera!  If you have recommendations, please send them along!

for simple DIY photo retouches. Doing make ups, making flabs dissapear, losing eyebags and wrinkles.. I’ll be having all the tuts posted on my blog.
